A group of 100 U.S. brand owners and other stakeholders have laid out a roadmap for achieving various plastics sustainability objectives.
The U.S. Plastics Pact consists of over 100 of the leading consumer products brands, CPG and food products packaging companies, and retailers in the US.
Formed in 2020 by The Recycling Partnership and the World Wildlife Fund, launched as part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s global Plastics Pact, the network connects diverse public-private stakeholders across the plastics value chain to rethink the way we design, use, and reuse plastics, to create a path forward to realize a circular economy for plastic in the United States.
The pact has laid out its first five-year plan, Roadmap to 2025, for increasing recycled plastic use and boosting recycling rates
Many other plastics producers and users have signed on in principle to the stated goals of the pact.
