You can learn more about high value products using PCE content by watching Philip's video on their new Performer vacuum line.

"We have been working on the most outer loop of the circular economy, recycling, for almost a decade.

One of the targets of our sustainability program, EcoVision, is to double the global collection and recycling and the amount of recycled materials in our products by 2015 compared to 2009." So states the Philips Company, and they are well on their way to achieving those goals with their latest consumer products which they plan the entire product lifecycle to minimize waste.

There are many circular economy models which can drive the recycling of waste plastics into high quality, usable products. Philips embraces the principle of Individual Producer Responsibility (IPR) as outlined in the WEEE Directive. In embracing this principle, a new product, the Green Performer Vacuum Cleaner range incorporates design for recyclability, including designing for disassembly.

Philips used recycled Polypropylene (PP) for the plastic parts of the vacuum cleaner with 25-47% of recycled plastics in the entire Performer range.
